Air-flow Visualisation Studies

The process works by using a smoke machine (usually water based) or smoke gun to show that air is blown from the Grade A area into the Grade B area and not vice versa. In conducting air-flow studies its also important to observe how the air strikes an object and how it responds to it.

It’s very important to video these air-flow studies as this type of documentary evidence is required by the FDA.

At Dream Vision Media we offer the service to video these air-flow studies using multiple cameras to capture the footage from a variety of angles. We’ll then edit the footage accordingly (sometimes including split screen so you can view all the angles at once) and provide the videos to the company for validation.

“Over the last 12 months I have employed Dream Vision Media’s services to capture Airflow Visualisation Studies. These are technical activities which are necessary to validate clean room air-flows. Dream Vision have provided an excellent service on each occasion. They have performed a complete package of onsite recording and editing and have also acted as an editing service for in house footage. For both types of activities the final product has surpassed all expectations and satisfied all of the validation standards. I found their conduct to be professional, helpful and enthusiastic. I would happily recommend them and will continue to use their services.”

Air-flow Visualisation Studies (often called smoke studies) are important tests that have to be carried out by companies that use clean room facilities, working with the food and medical industries, where contamination is a risk.
